In January 2012, Digi conceptualized the Virginia Beach Hermit Society as a magazine by him and his friends, which would contain a bunch of random short stories, art pieces, and reviews. His intent was to capture the flavor of his friends, himself, and where they live.
The bulk of the magazine was created in January and February. Due to shifting interests and the fact that no one was submitting anything, it wasn't finished. Work on it resumed a little bit in March, April, and July, watching as the content became less relevant and the likelihood of finishing plummeted.
Originally intended to be a fifty-page magazine, the count was dropped to forty when he made the final table of contents. Only thirty or so pages were completed.
